Questions

Clearly answered.

What is the difference between Super Negin and Negin saffron?

Both are premium grades from Mashhad, rated Category 1 under ISO 3632. Super Negin is our highest grade: the strongest colour intensity, with crocin above 250, and long, thick, all-red filaments with the yellow style completely trimmed. Negin is a first-class thread with vibrant colour, an exquisite aroma and a symmetrical structure.

What does ISO 3632 Category 1 mean?

ISO 3632 is the international standard for saffron. It classifies saffron through laboratory measurement of colouring strength, flavour and aroma, together with purity criteria. Category 1 is the highest rating. Both our Negin and Super Negin grades are rated Category 1.

What does a crocin value above 250 indicate?

Crocin is the natural compound that gives saffron its colour. Under ISO 3632 it is measured as colouring strength, and a higher value means stronger colouring power. Our Super Negin grade is specified at a crocin value above 250.

Where does your saffron come from?

From our own private farms in Mashhad, Iran, the global capital of premium saffron. We supply it direct from farm, with no intermediaries, so its origin remains traceable.

Which packaging options are available?

Three: protective metal tins, bulk packaging for food manufacturers and distributors, and custom private labelling under your own brand.

Do you offer private labelling?

Yes. We pack saffron under your brand with custom labelling. Share your market, preferred format and design requirements when you enquire, and we will prepare a proposal.

Which markets do you currently supply?

Our active saffron markets are Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Turkey and Afghanistan, served from our base in Istanbul. We welcome enquiries from other countries.
